S&W L Frame grip question...

I'm in search of some new grips for my 686+
I believe all of these are now "round butt"
will "round butt" frames fit in "square butt" grips? Also, am I limited to K and L frame grips, or will N work as well?
looking for something wooden and checkered to replace the hogues that came with it.
any suggestions are welcome-many thanks!

[Old Fuff]

1. Grips intended to fit the round-butt "K" frame will work on the "L" frame. "N" frame grips will be oversized.

2. Grips made to convert a "K" or "L" round- butt to a square-butt configuration will work on the "L" frame.

3. Any grip manufacturer's catalog will list the particular model(s) that each of their products fit.
