S&W K22 questions

I am looking at a K 22 Ser. # K275297 in a local gun shop. I would like to know when this gun was manufactured. Is this a M17 or is it pre M17 ?
I would say the gun is about 95 % No box or papers. What do you think a fair price would be for this gun ?? Thanks for any info.

By the book it is a 1956 model which would make it a Pre-17, but the numbers are not always correct for the date so it could be a Model 17. A quick look in the yoke area will tell you as there will or will not be a model number.
I would say $350 would be fair, but also prices seem to bounce around from region to region.
