S&W ID resource

The Standard Catalog of S&W by Supica and Nahas is the Bible for S&W folks. The History of S&W by Roy Jinks is also good.

PS: The Smith & Wesson Forum is the best source for advice on S&W.

Oh, on that forum linked in the first post, the member is using my photos he hi-jacked from somewhere else. Not sure if I should be upset by that. Could have at least given photo credit.

An excellent book, though long out of print, is Smith & Wesson 1857-1945 by Neal and Jimks. The X-ray photos are priceless and it is the best source on the various changes and when they took place.
