S/W Hi-Vis sights

Notice a lot of S/W newer guns have the Hi-vis sights on them. Tried them on shotguns but never handguns. Wanted to get general impressions on them including visibility in low light conditions and durability, they look kind of fragile for a carry piece.

The HiViz sight won't help in a low light enviroment since the filament gathers the available ambient light (Sure lights up on a sunny day though!). The one on my Mountain Lite feels like it has a solid mount but will have to run it through many more holster draws to get an idea on how durable it will be.
