S&W Handgun Modification

I use a S&W 4516 as my carry gun when not at work, this model is "double action" first shot and single action after that. I am issued a S&W 4043(double action only) as a duty weapon. I have always thought that it is best to use the same or similiar weapon systems which brings me to my question; S&W's shop will convert my 4516 to double action only for $125(IIRC). I'm wondering if its worth it and if anyone here has used S&W's Preformance Center?

Although, the following post concerns a completely different gun and type, it's the same center. Read and heed: [Link to invalid post]

It was around $180 when I checked on it last year. The advantage is, you CAN have them leave the de-cock lever intact, as a dedicated safety. Also, you don't get that overly elongated slide which they use to shroud the hammer spur. Much better looking that way, IMO.
Make sure you are clear that you want the light, SHORT pull length set-up like your duty gun. :) NOT, the stock DA pull length it has now, rendered in DAO. :(
