Got a set of S&W target grips that are almost perfect. The factory finish is coming off, but the color is excellent, and I don't want to harm that. Am I safe in LIGHTLY scuffing the grips (not checkering) and spraying Polyurethane on them. Also, does anyone think 1 brand is any better than the other. I've used Olympic clear gloss on a set for my Beretta 84 and it has held up good, but only for the past couple of months.
