S & W Forum URL?

BTW, the members (including myself) of the S&W Forum do their best. But things have been a little slow, not to mention gloomy, there lately. With good reason, of course.

Thank you Gorthaur. I had been going crazy searching for it.
I know what you mean Jimmy. I've been a member there sice it bagan but it was slow to get off the ground and the stab in the back by Smith hasn't helped. However I have no plans to get rid of any of the Smiths I currently own and will purchase other used examples in the future so the forum is still a good source for S&W "only" info. But I do have to admit I post very little there, TFL is my "home". :)

Come on over and live'n things up a bit. I've been posting there a lot with very little interest. -- FUD

I've been following the S&W forum and considered joining up. But my observation is that the boycott seems to have extended to the forum as well! Unless of course all Smith aficiandos are too clinically depressed to post. You can count me in that group.

Captain Bligh, Too clinically depressed to post. It's kind of hard to be excited about great guns (in our opinion, otherwise we would own them and be on that site) when the compnay that makes those guns went off and did what they did. :(

Just visited this site for the first time. I've owned and carried S&Ws for many years and will continue to do so. It's an outrage that the current Brit owners acted as they did, but considering that it is the Brits...well, I'm not too surprized.

Yes, the other evening I was looking at my S&W Model 19 (blue, 6-inch, Patridge front sight), which I've owned for years. It just didn't inspire the admiration that it used to. I had to remind myself that this revolver wasn't responsible for S&W's treachery!

I've been lurking there for awhile but I can't bring myself to register and post. Silly, huh?

There, there Jimmy, tell your old uncle Gunslinger all about it. I understand. Tell you what, I'll send you my address and you can send it to me, where it will have a loving home. :p

Seriously. There was a man at the KC show last weekend walking around with a Smith 4506 that he was trying desperately to sell. When he came by our table we struck up a conversation about S&W in general and his pistol in particular. He told me it (the 4506) was his favorite gun he had ever owned. However he had decided he was going to get rid of it in protest to Smith's actions even if it meant giving it away. I tried to convince him that Smith had already made their money off of it and he was only hurting himself, but to no avail.
I love my Smiths, will keep them all and do plan to buy more....used of course. I had ear marked money this year for a new 945 and a new Schofield that will now be spent else where. I want to see Smith go TU. I would be willing to drive to Springfield, Mass. to dance on their grave. (I do feel sorry for the employees. :() But it still doesn't make me love my old Smiths any less or make me ashamed to be a Smith & Wesson fan......albeit a used Smith & Wesson fan.

Gunspot
This site has a great revolvers area, and is basically a S&W area.
Fans of other makes are, of course, more than welcome to join in the fun, it just seems like the majority of posters are S&W fans.
(Well, fans of S&W revolvers, NOT fans of S&W the company.)
Stop on in, join the fun!

Uncle G.--thanks for the offer. I'm glad to find someone willing to adopt my Model 19. However, it's beginning to look better to me. Maybe I'll just hang on to it for now. ;)
