S&W Dates of Manufacture?

Folks,

I recently acquired several firearms due to my fathers passing and am trying to determine the age of 2 particular S&W revolvers. The first is a J-frame Model 36 4" Chief's Special in .38...SN J354534. The second is a K-22 Masterpiece .22LR, SN 8K1079. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Go to the dedicated S&W forum. They have some good folks there that can give you a date of birth. Do a search and you can get the address.
