S&W CEO on This Week

Did anyone catch Schultz(sp?) on ABC this morning? I missed the first few minutes of the segment. The part I DID see, however had Sam, Cokie and George offering up soft-toss questions to allow him to whine about the backlash from the shooting public. It was clear that Mr CEO had not yet been able to gauge the effect of the settlement on his company's business. Cokie offered the astounding observation that she thought S&W's business had gone up dramatically! Hello? Cluebat time. If S&W's sales were up, I doubt any of the Northeastern (I'm avoiding the use of the word "Yankee") AG's would be spouting off about collusion or conspiracies.

I expected George Will to comment on the extortion aspects of the agreement, but no such luck. Ditto the advisory board, or governing body, or whatever Politburo is going to be establish to enforce the True Religion on gun manufacturers.

Sigh. I can't say I'm surprised, but I sure am disappointed.

"I don't care if it is quicksand, Clive. I've half a mind to struggle!"

Don't you just love how the obliging media comes to the aid of the poor defenseless anti American British Conglomerate held S&W company! WE have a truely great battle looming here folks. It is very heartening to see that the American spirit of free association and disassociation is in full power in these tumultuous times!

What part of "INFRINGED" don't they understand?

George Will did try to nudge Mr CEO into saying that the lawsuits amounted to extortion, but to no avail. Will even said the word "extortion" but Mr CEO danced around the issue saying that there was a lot of pressure put on the company but he wouldn't come out and say it was extortion.

Cokie had her usual, at least when talking gun control, serious-as-a-funeral attitude with indignation written all over her face. That woman needs to take some prozac.
