Smith & Wesson have both stopped sales of their semi-automatic pistols in California rather than try to comply with 2007 "Microstamping" law.

Stay tuned, coming soon to a legislature near you.
 
I was reading about that. I "like how they always add that Law Enforcement is exempt!?!? I'm sorry but I am a firm believer than no one(including) LE or Politicians should be exempt from any laws. I would have stopped selling guns in Ca when they came out with the DOJ "approved" list. Yeah, I would lose a whole bunch of potential sales but I think the Ca gun laws are a direct violation on the 2nd amendment and should be struck down, as well as NY, CT, etc...
