S&w 945

Fired one about three years ago and the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Show. It was very accurate and reliable for the 20 rounds that I got to shoot it ;) . Is it any better than a comparably priced 1911? Not in my opinion but my opinion and a dollar might buy you a coke.
 
I've got a couple of friends who have them.

It acts, looks (except for the slightly different slide) and shoots just like any other comparably priced custom 1911....

Its a nice gun, and if you can pick one up on the cheap, they're really worth having. (I think I prefer them to the sligthly pricier Wilson custom guns.)
 
A friend of mine bought one Christmas '00. Shoots very well. Can't say much on realibility tho...only put 100 rounds through it.
