Haven't seen mention of the newcomer on the various "Which .357 Mag?" threads floating around. I would think this one would be an excellent contender for the Best All-Around .357 Mag. 4" barrel, L-frame strength with K-frame weight (around 35oz), 7 round capacity. Who has tried this one and how do you like it? I also like the plain black front sight over the red insert type. From the retail prices I have seen it should be priced in the same ballpark as other 686s.
 
I saw one of these at my local gunshop. Very nice. I almost fell in love and nearly bought it. But its got that *#@^#! round butt frame!
 
Why not a round butt grip? You have the option of going to larger grips and also smaller grips, whatever best suits the individual.

Do you remember the price?
