S&W 657 Hunter

Doesn't sound too outta line considering what I've seen new Smiths going for around here. One of our local shops (Gunshaft, for you Knoxwegians) had a 3" 629 in the case priced at some crazy amount, like $675 or something. I asked if it came with two $100 bills rolled up and stuffed in the charge holes, but apparently not.

Reaper, I'd jump at the chance but can't because it's not on our DOJ approved list. It is one of the more scarce .41Magnums. I've been trying to find one private party here for some time. The full lug barrel should help with recoil somewhat. The only bad thing is, it's still got that flaming short cylinder and doesn't lend itself to real heavy bullets. Don't try to turn it into a super fire-breather and it will give you long and good service. I believe it was a limited run as S&W only has the M657 with the 7&1/2 inch full lug barrel now. RKBA!
