S&W 640-3 question

I just purchased my first handgun, a S&W 640-3. It fires fine and I am enjoying getting acquainted with it.

My question has to do with the trigger. The top of the trigger where it comes out of the frame is centered in the trigger guard. The bottom of the trigger ends up at the right side of the trigger guard even with the edge of the guard.

My question is why is the trigger not centered all the way down in the trigger guard? Is that the way S&W builds the trigger and why? Or is it a problem?

I asked the guy at the gun shop if he knew why and he couldn't tell me. Any one out there able to enlighten me on the trigger situation?

Thanks!

Wait a minute, never mind, I just checked my 642 and saw that it also is closer to the right side than the left and may be a S&W thing. I've had no problems with mine at all. Good eye though!

Mine is centered

Just took my 640 dash nuthin out of the case. Looks perfectly centered in the trigger guard and frame, to me. So, maybe it is not the trigger, but maybe the trigger guard is cut more on one side? Perhaps a look at the front might reveal if they milled the thing more on one side than the other. Is the trigger made symmetrically, or does it seem bent to one side? If it was bent, a new trigger ought to fix that, unless it is just something with the newer guns. I guess it is safe if it does not extend past the guard, anyway. Just checked my 60-7 and the trigger on that is just as centered as the 640. My 36 has the narrow grooved trigger, so it does not affect that, really.
