S&W 629 Revolver + scope, need a holster.

I have a S&W model 629 with a 6 1/2" brl and a burris 2x scope mounted on top. My question is do I have any options as far as holsters that this gun will fit in and will strap to my leg. I hunted with the gun over deer season this year and had to carry it everywhere. I am not shure if some one makes a holster or if I should get a sling for the gun. I will appreciate any input.

Id look into a bandolier style holster, it goes across your chest, I got one from Cabelas for my scoped .454 with a 9.5" barrel and it worked great for deer season. The gun is right there ready to be drawn. It also has a flap you can take off if you want, but it was nice to keep my gun covered when the snow hit hard. It only cost $30 too and it feels like a pretty stout holster. Here is the link to the particular holster I got: My holster

and the rest of the holsters

hope these help you out some

A bandolier holster would be the better idea. A scope would be subject to quite a beating if the revolver was holstered on the leg.

I use the UM bandoleer holster for my Ruger SRh which has a 9 1/2" barrel and a 2-6x scope. Workes great. I've been using it for several years now.

This is my rig. A Ruger Super Redhawk .44mag, with a Bushnell scope and carried in the UM Bandoleer Holster.
