My understanding is that S&W has altered the design of the 629 over the years, creating hyphenated models (e.g. 629-2, 629-3, 629-4, etc.). Can anyone comment on these changes?
1. What is the latest hyphenated N frame model number?
2. Somewhere along the way they added something called an "endurance package." Does this allow for the firing of the same intensity ammo you might put through a Ruger Redhawk (CorBon, etc.)? Or, is the S&W design still weaker?
I have a 629-4 and would like to know a little more about its capabilities, refinements, and whether I should avoid shooting hotter factory loads through it. Thanks for any insights!...pwd
