It all depends how good/handy you are with tools. If you have the proper tools for the job.
If you answer yes to both my statements then go for it. Worst you can do is screw it up and have to take it to a gun smith and best case scenario you do it without a hitch and all is good
The new front sight will also have to be drilled for the pin. You can seat the front sight, mark the hole with a scribe, remove the front sight, drill the front sight, replace the front sight using red locktite, and replace the pin. Simple isn't it?
