S&W 547 9mm: What price range?

A friend moved recently leaving me with 11 boxes of 9mm Luger (Peters ammo)a wifey problem, and since I am a S&W wheelgun man (Own 5), there are a couple of Gun Shows coming up and I have a strong interest in the 547 model. Any ideas on what a decent price, or price range would be? Assuming I spot one. I understand they are kind of rare. I definitely will not purchase a SA. I like the hunt and chase for a good revolver and hopefully will find one. I stay away from on-line purchasing since I like to examine something before buying. Thanks in advance for your replies.
 
The Standard Catalog shows a Model 547, NIB at $375. As this book is now 4 years old, figure between $425 to $475 would not be excessive.

I always thought these were an interesting idea. A little over 10,000 were made between 1980-85.
 
Prices definitely vary. Expect 4" square-butt guns to be much easier to find and cheaper than 3" round-butt specimens...
