S&W .44 mag value ?

Was looking at S&W N frame in .44 mag today. Stainless with adj rear sight, 6" barrel, Hogue grip, used, appeared to be in very good condition. This has the firing pin as part of the hammer. Not being too familiar with revolvers, can you tell me if the price is a fair one. The gun is on consignment sale for $450. Thanks
 
Values are very regional. It might be worth it in a state where the firearm has to be on an approved list. Then again, it might only be worth 350 in the mid-west. Describing it as VG is kind of vague unless you are using the NRA standard. IMHO if it has the box, tools, manual, etc. it is, at best, a 400 OTD piece. YMMV.
 
Pay the man the money...

Pay the man the money and take it home with you. In my neck of the woods that would over $500. Smith revolvers with the real firing pins and the serrated backstraps are a lot better than the new ones without them.....
