This was a few years ago but I had a 422 "one of the very first ones" and tried a mod 41 mag. As I recall the mag release slot was to short on the mod 41 mag to stay latched in the 422. I took a hacksaw and cut about a 1/3" and it worked fine. But I was told by local dealer that the "new" mags all had the longer slot so they will work in both. Just run it up the well if it falls out you need a longer slot one.
Question: Don't the 2206 mags work in the 422?
