S+W 422 Dam Jam Jam Jam

The dam thing fails to fully extract about once every mag. Why? With most ammo excluding CCI stingers.

My S&W 422, when I still had one, was pretty finicky about ammo brands. Mine worked fine with CCI and a few other brands. All other brand ammo would cause jams, and lot's of 'em at that. I think it was because with most ammo brands, the rim of the cartridge was too rounded. The extraction claw just couldn't get a good grip on the cartridge. My opinion on how to fix the situation: buy a better pistol...

Not to sound unhelpful, but I owned one S&W .22 pistol and used three other models that friends own...none of them worked reliably, extraction being the issue. I would try undersized hot ammo (whatever brand that turns out to be) but the extractor design just isn't any good.
