Greetings, would like to drop the trigger pull weight a little so my
wife can shoot double action. Can I drop the mainspring weight some to get the results I want ?

Could be as simple as a reduced-power spring kit. That's a lot of how the 3913LS achieves its lighter DA trigger.

Yes, I have a S&W 3913 that I bought for the wife and she had the hardest time pulling the trigger. I went to my gun smith and he changed the springs and now it has a light pull to it. The only down fall is that it is finiky on what type of ammo it will detonate. Only factory ammo works 100%. Reloads or military stuff is hit or misss due to the hard primers so be careful and make sure the ammo your using acually works after the trigger job.
