S&W 360PD - Who has one? Do you like it?

I am considering buying one of these Airweight .357s. Hearing from others who have some direct experience would be nice.

Right now, I pack a Ruger SP101 with a 2" bbl, Hogue monogrip, and Wolff spring kit. I like it a lot, but losing half the weight is tempting.

Airweights

I have the 340SC, which Smith now lists as the 340. It carries/conceals very well but it kicks like a mule. It has been my "always" gun for over a year now and replced my 649. The weight difference is significant.

It is NOT a plinking gun, even with light .357 reloads,

My best friend has one,at my urging , for the last couple years. The weight for back packing or mtn biking is wonderful, the 3.25" barrel gets the .357 velocity up and flash down(a little) . The Hi viz sights are stupendous for their purpose and middle age eyes. This is a carrying gun that you won't want to shoot more than 20 times a session-and those few and far between. Of course you COULD shoot quite a few .38 wadcutters as it is plenty accurate with them. But better practice technique with the Ruger and save the S&W for always on your person-after registering the sights with your favorite load. My friend went with Winchester 180 grain partition gold. Which do right at 990fps and should do the deed on a black bear or lion, which is why he carries it! :) He also likes Speer 125grain Blazer Gold dot HP's for personal protection.!

I have the 340Sc and really like it. It is plenty accurate and a delight to carry. With regard to recoil, standard pressure .38's are quite manageable. +P .38's are manageable but I had a nice bruise on the web of my hand after thirty rounds. I bought the little beast with the intent firing .38's in it. I might eventually try a few shots of .357 but not soon. I've read enough about other people's experiences with the recoil of full-house .357 loads.
