S & W 340SC Ammo Help

I recently purchased a 340SC and was wondering what ammo has been working best out of these? Is 357 or 38 + the way to go? Any info would be appreciated.
 
Georgia Arm's 125 grain, Gold Dot, +P, .38 Speical that produces 1000 FPS would be my choice.
 
It'll be plenty brisk with the new Gold Dot 135gr +P that was specifically designed to operate out of 2" barrels.

Do you know if the same bullet design is used for both Gold Dots (Georgia Arms’ and their own/Speer)? For some reason, I thought it likely (both .38 Special +Ps and only 10 grain weight delta).
