I would love to get one for my wife. I know the air weight guns are not shooter freindly, but in 32 mag, and with 6 shots, might not be a bad gun for her. Plus, they say the 32 mag can be comparable to the 38 target loads. Any one shoot one of these. She can handle a 38 fine, but she wont carry either of my 357's because of the weight, and if I get her an air weight, I know they are not fun to shoot. PLUS.....a buddy of mine gave me a box of 32 mag he mistakenly bought for his 32 short Kel-Tec, so I SHOULD abuy a gun for it so I dont waiste a box of ammo...RIGHT???? Six shot, 11.2 oz, and a centenial. Sounds good to me.

Mr. Pitiful...

The J-frame that I carry the most is a S&W 331. It's on my hip right now. You're a little off on the weight. 331 = 11.9 oz/332 = 12 oz. I could have bought either, but the hammer of the 331 appealed to me. I like the .32 H&R magnum very much. It's stronger than a non +P (and SOME +P) .38 Specials and, to me, recoils less than a non +P .38 Special in a 15 oz. frame. That's kinda hard to determine though. Everybody feels recoil differently. When I practice with my Glock 27, the recoil from the 331 feels like a BB gun. In other words, I don't pay attention any longer to the recoil of either one of the two guns I carry the most. I think your wife will like the .32 mag. I own two. The 331 is loaded with Magsafe.
Maybe Tamara or Lendringser will jump in here. They own .32 mags also. I believe that they like them too.

I have a couple

Don't forget me KR.. My are the older M631 & M631. THe hammered M631 is my shooter, the CENT. M632 airweight is a "SAFE Queen."

Don't you love it KR? :D  ;)

I had an opportunity to shoot a 332 once, and enjoyed it greatly. I shot it alonside a Smith Ti .38, and believe me, the difference was like night and day! The 332 would make a good gun for shooting fun, but once you move up in caliber in a Ti frame, you're moving into the area of "guns that get carried a lot and shot only a little." Since lots of practice is key to achieving and maintaining a high degree of proficiency, it makes sense to carry something you'll like to shoot a lot.

The less recoil, the less chance of flinching; the less chance of flinch, the better the accuracy; the better the accuracy, the better the chance of stopping an attacker quickly.

Gents,
I took delivery of my new Model 331 last week and have only put a hundred rounds through her, but am pleased thus far. I am not real happy with the heavy trigger pull in DA, but it is at least smooth. SA trigger pull is decent. Accuracy at 7 yards is excellent and at 15 yards I am still keeping all shots inside of the 8 ring or better.

I reload, so this will certainly be a keeper and will get shot quite often. I do believe I will change to Hogue Bantam grips, though.
Regards,
Rich

I've got a "Hammerless" 332...recoil is comparable to shooting wadcutters out of my "Airweight" Model 442...that is to say, not unpleasant...very manageable...I LIKE the six shots, too....mikey357

Hi the S&W .32 mag hammerless is a good way to go. My wife has a .38 S&W airlite ,I just don't like the recoil so I bought a Taurus .32 h&r mag for $200 less then the S&W .32 mag.The weight on the Taurus is 17oz not the 11oz on S&W.The extra weight reduces recoil to a easy shoter .Also got the hammer model when pulled back it gives more control then DA for me.My wife has her finger pinched when using the Tuarus ..not me .I use .32 long S&W rounds for pratice.Have your wife try the gun for fit and ease.and some gun shops rent, a good way to experence recoil.Wife had a hoster but found it fit in her jeans front pocket better.I have carried the Tuarus with hammer in my front and back pocket and can pull it out without snaging.
.I load magsafe .32 mags (like a short .38) for carry and 6 shots makes me feel better. You won't go wrong with either gun.
