B Buzzcook New member Mar 26, 2017 #4 Just in case you wanted to know. What you have is a J frame .38 S&W (Not .38 Special) Earlier versions were on an I frame. I can't tell you a value, but you should consider that .38S&W is not very popular any more. If you don't really need the money I'd suggest keeping the gun and shooting it. Reloading ammo would also be a good idea.
