S&W 27-5 with 5"bbl

I saw a S&W M27-5 at the Indy 1500 Gun Show this weekend. It was new in the box, unfired with papers for $550. The dealer said it was from a special run at the same time the 50 Year Comm M27 was made. The serial# is BHF39xx. When was this gun made? Is it as valuable as the older models? Is it worth $550? Thanks for the help.
 
A five inch Model 27 are hard to come by where I live. I have a 3 1/2 and 5 inch 27s that were made in the 1950s that my father bought. If I wanted it and had the money, I knock myself out and buy it. That is because I like the 5 inch barrel, I believe it is the best barrel lenght for a .357.

Blue Book list the 27 at $400.00 at at 100% and the 5 inch barreled Models were discountinued in 1977.
