S&W 21-4, 44 Special

Just picked up this model 21-4 in 44 Special (made in August 2005). Installed a set of Altamont conversion grips (round butt to square butt type) yesterday.

Really like this gun. I started picking up some .44 Special revolvers several years ago starting with a Ruger flat top Bisley (just sold that one). A couple of months ago I picked up a Charter Arms Bulldog Classic in .44 Spec. That was a lot nicer than I thought it would be.

Took this S&W to the range and it seemed to function just fine. However, the Charter Arms gun was a lot more accurate. This could be just me having to get used to the Smith.

The only thing wrong with this gun is of course the "Hillary Lock" yuk. But if I ignore it the gun seems OK.

This is my .44 Special... a 24-3 that the previous owner honed for target shooting. The single action pull is magnificent.
