I have a few questions about this gun, serial # DAT 84xx (1) year it was made (2) what was the first serial of the run of this gun (3) and what were the years it was made (4) what was the total run amount of this gun? Just can't seem to find out much about this gun anywhere. THANKS

I think the 21-4 was originally released as a Thunder Ranch "commemorative", blued with some gold TR embellishment and special TR serial number range. I'm going to say that was about 2006. That was followed by a TR Model 22 (nearly the same gun, but chambered in .45 ACP). A bit later than that, maybe 2009, both the 21 and 22 made their way into S&Ws regular product line, minus the TR embellishment and serial numbers. So, your gun is a fairly recent one, maybe no more than a couple of years old, but no idea as to how many were made, etc.
