S&W 1917 Price Check please

Was browsing in a gun shop today, and found an S&W 1917. It was a bit rough, finish-wise, several dings around the trigger guard and on the outboard side plate, and the blue is fairly worn. Bore is bright, and although the rifling is fairly shallow, I understand that's normal for these.

Lock up was tight, didn't get to run thru the full function check ala Jim March, but looks like this was carried a lot and shot very little.

This would be a shooter obviously. Price is $350. Is this good, bad, or ugly?

Thanks!

Michael

Here's a good source to check...

...I'm a few years out of the loop on military pistol values, but I can direct you to one of the best there is for this info. Go to Check Point Charlies for contact info, then drop Charlie Justmann an email or give him a call. He's a great guy and he knows current market values. When you contact him, tell him his old friend & employee, Steve G., sent you. Then, if the price isn't out of line, go buy that 1917. They were built on the old long-stroke action; smooth and sweet, and a pure pleasure to shoot. I carry mine about every time I head out to the woods.
