FWIW, the 1066 is not the DAO nor is it the frame-mounted decock model (which would need grip clearance for proper operation of the decock-specific lever) The 1066 is the shorter barreled version of the basic 1006 with the slide mounted safety/decocker.
If the safety is rotated DOWN and the slide is locked open and you let it fly to chamber a round, the safety should automatically decock this pistol upon chambering that round.
Hatchman, you likely already knew that, I posted it for others who might read and be a bit confused on the operation of this pistol.
