Saw a post on SASS. Talking about a Rem. shooters model, made by Pietta, selling at Dixie for $650.00 . Wondering the differences of that model and my Rem. Stainless Target model .44 from Cabela's, also by Pietta, mine's going for 320.00. Online the only difference is a steel back strap, instead of the brass on mine. Thanks for your info...

Yours does not have the high dollar "Shooter" bbl made by the Walther co. in Germany and has a different rifling twist.

I think the regular Remy's are used much more due to price. Do the "Shooters" shoot better??? I don't know, but I'm not going to buy one. A friend bought one on sale at Dixie and it was rusty. haven't heard that it shot any better than the regular Pietta or uberti ones.

I got one of these model by Pietta, in France, they are called Pietta Match, and the rifling is far better than any other BP gun, they are used for competition and are really expensive.
The rifling suddenly "twists" or turns (don't know how to say it) at the end of the barrel.
The most accurate model by Pietta.
The trigger guard is silver plated, the gun is like all other Remnies, the action is better too and there are the original stampings.

Probably can't do that in the U.S. of A. though. Remington would exact their pound of flesh or maybe get their cut.
Totally neat. Wish I could afford to buy one of the "Shooters" there and import it here. I'm almost positive that they are not marked that way here.
