Wow. Incredible.

Most of them are, of course, posed publicity shots, but they're still incredible.

Much of America's combat motion picture footage from WW II was actually taken in color, but reproduced in black and white for distribution at movie theaters around the nation.

Bill Maudlin in his book "UP FRONT" had a cartoon with a soldier saying, "You Irishmen would have lost this war without allies like Texas and Russia" (pg. 76)

So maybe he was pointing to his allies!
