Russian VEPR

I would appreciate anyones thoughts on the Russian VEPR .308 Kalishnakov that is now being sold. Is it worth getting? Does it have any problems?

i bought one last month
now i need to get it to the range

its a bit ugly, like all AKs it is welded & riveted together

SOF did a review last month
they liked it
they said 1.5 MOA

10 round mags are Vepr only
i mounted an old weaver scope on it...
the mount worked but the scope was to far back

i bought a 7x29 POS 2 from K usa
nice russian glass
mounts up nice but the new side bracket mounts the scope to low to use the iron sights without removing the scope (10 second job)

A few more questions. Are a scope mount and rings included in the original price? Do the rings fit properly to American scopes? Are magazines and parts easy to get?

the rifle comes with a side mount scope mount
(the one in the pictures)
it holds a 30 mm scope & comes with two half ring adaptors to mount a usa standard 1 inch scope

magazines are only available from zdf & dealers that stock veprs
Tennesee guns has an add in sgn for the rifles & the magazines

the mount is much nicer than the one that came with the Vepr. With the rubber eyecup in place the iron sights are un-obtainable...
