Russian SKS Questions, Value? Etc.

I bought a Russian SKS tonight. Unissued condition, complete with folding bayonette, cleaning kit in butt, extra parts, etc.

It was made by Simonov, and is dated 1954r.
It has a ten found fixed mag. Anyone know what it's worth? I paid $75.

Also, is there a detachablke mag conversion available for this thing?

Thanks!
Jim

I'm not sure what the going price is now but I know one thing......You stole it! ;)

Congrats on a great buy. :)

critter, you sure got a helluva good deal. I bought an original Russian last fall and paid $300.for it. that is about the going price depending on condition. Now that is ($75.)what I paid for my Remington Rand .45 about 20 years ago less its mag.
I'd say you did well

Happy Shooting :)

I don't see Chinese SKS's for that price. $75? Wow.

I saw a Russian SKS (with the laminated stock) for $400 recently at a gun show. The guy didn't sell it, but he had quite a few lookers ...
