A person formerly associated with a department in tx blogged a post containing text ostensibly taken from Texas statutes.

http://www.thatsnonsense.com/legal-use-deadly-force-protect-statues-texas/

He stated plainly defense against the destruction of a statue by deadly force.

I believe that the laws involve only private, personal property, and that this is clearly a lie, inflammatory and possibly dangerous.

Would tx lawyers weigh in and is there any point in sharing the post that debunked it?

The article clearly states that the guy, a volunteer, reserve officer who was fired after publishing his garbage, was wrong.

There's no need to discuss some idiot's hogwash.
