Ruger

Closest you are going to get is the PC carbine in .40. Maybe the guys at www.rugerforum.com know why they stopped at 9MM and .40.

Go to the Ruger forum. My buds over there may have more info. But if you wait, it will come. They should also do a Mini-308. I know it is crazy, but it would be neat, tho.

Thanks for the sugestion, I will try the Ruger forum. Regarding the .40 carbine, I can't stand the .40 S&W caliber. In handguns the recoil is snappy and in general the .40 is very inaccurate when compared to a .45 or 9mm. All my handguns are either .45 or 9mm so a .40 carbine is useless...I just keep hoping Ruger comes out with a .45 carbine some day!

You might also look for a Marlin Camp 45 (now discontinued). They were/are excellent, and use standard 1911 mags.
