stainless, 4 5/8", $410.00 LNIB. I think I should get it. Always liked the idea of a .45 ACP single action. Shuck out those short cases real easy.

I have a NMBH in blue, paid $370 + tax NIB. You'll enjoy it. 45acp is VERY accurate from these guns. Corbon +P ammo has a lot of boom, but the recoil is surprisingly light because the handgun rolls upward in your hand, soaking up the kick. 45 Colt cowboy loads a real light. Don't be surprised if you shoot 1" groups unsupported at 10 yards or more.

Just remember your point of impact may differ greatly from your point of aim depending on what loads you use.

If you want it, get it NOW. Word is that the original big Vaquero will not be made in any caliber but .44 Mag once the New Vaquero gets established in .357 and .45 Colt.

think that I'll give in to the temptation

and put some money down on it tomorrow. I can put it on lay-a-way for $5.00/month. Not a bad deal.

I bought one about 6 weeks ago for about $415. It's neat to have the option of changing cylinders. ACP is much cheaper and more readily available than the Long Colt and feels like shooting .38 wadcutters.

Enjoy it.

Got a Blackhawk convertable in .45acp/.45LC Just today changed to the .45LC to shoot tomorrow.Like the Blackhawks because of the adjustable sights. Now if I could find one in .40cal /10mm life would be good not been made in a few years :(

I want that exact gun... I love the way the .45 Colt feels, and I could use the same ammo from my USP if I change the cylinder. Go for it.

Wow! What a coincidence! I just bought the same gun (original big Vaquero size) at my local gun store last Thursday! :D Brand new in the box and wrapper for $400. I put $50 down on it and I have 90 days to pay up.

When I first picked up the gun I thought it was used because it has a scuff on the right side of the barrel. The owner said that's how it came to him in the box. He thought it must not have been packed correctly and was rubbing on something inside the box or the box itself. The gun would not sell because of this scuff. It was originally marked $450 but he offered it to me for $400 so I jumped on it (I've always wanted my own polished 45 colt single action!).

Question:
If the gun truly was delivered NIB with the scuff. Do you think Ruger is liable to fix it? Would that be covered? And if so, why wouldn't the dealer have returned it to Ruger to get a good one himself?
The scuff does not bother me that much that I'd pass up on the Ruger. But hey, I'm buying a new gun and it should be in new condition.

Also, can I get a polished 45 auto wheel for it and plop it in? Or would I have to send the gun somewhere to be fitted?

Sorry! Don't mean to hijack the thread! These questions have just been on my mind... apologies! :D

Keep looking you'll find one. I bought my blackhawk convertable about 16 17 years ago used for $175 :D . That blackhawk is one of my favorite guns.

Yeah, keep your $ handy...People are going to be trading old Vaqueros on the "New Vaquero", which is smaller , more like a Colt size.

( I plan to keep my old fat Vaquero - it's built like a tractor, handles fine and always works. I carry it to work in my car every day.)

Ruger Vaquero Covertable 45 LC & 45 ACP A Good Buy?

I came across a Ruger Vaquero that looked So good it took my attention.I was looking some advise about it.It is in Fantastic condition. It is the hard case blued with the white ivory like grips. It has a the 4 5/8 inch barrell. The gun truely looks new!It does not have the original box.It is 45LC and the 45ACP.The 45ACP cylinder is still in the plastic bag and labled. It has a nice leather and lined case to go with it.They want 375.00 including tax for it! No doubt I would like it and want it,is that a fair price?
Do they still make this same gun?I tried to find it in the Blue Book of guns and did not see it with two cylinders. If anyone can give me some help I would greatly appreciate it!!
I just found this site signed up and my first question.Hope I did it correctly.
Thanks for the help!

HK45Beach,

I would snap that thing up in a heartbeat!

I have one of the polished Stainless Vaqueros, 45LC only. Those are great guns, unbreakable!
