I was looking to buy a nother rifle, and I had decided to go with a ruger KM77VT in .308, but some one I know says that that ruger makes a tactical version. Do you guys know of such a gun.

Thanks for all the help

Ruger did make rifles geared towards law enforcement a number of years back, but don't know if they still do. Nothing for the civilian market though.

Ruger does have available a LE model, forgive me for not being up on Ruger part numbers.....it's essentially the 308 varmint model finished in dark grey with a slightly different stock configuration, goes for around $700.00 in the DFW area. (Arlington Arms)

Approach is similar to the Remington PSS in marketing.....paint it black, call it LE, raise the price and make common folks think they have something special.
Seem to work.:D

Same advice as with any other rifle for that kind of use. Buy one, and then expect to have some work done on it to get it set up right. Get a varmint, and build from there....

Good advice. Better yet, buy a Savage 112V and you will have a very good tactical rifle out of the box. These are very nice pieces.
