Ruger SRH 454 Casull

I just got a SRH 454 Casull and I'm planning on hunting with it. I'm going to put a scope on it and was wondering what kind of range you can shoot to with it and if you sight in with 454 Casull will 45 Colt shoot about the same within 50 yds.

Unless you are going to hunt something bigger than whitetails the 45 LC with handloads is more than enough. I haven't sighted mine in with 454 loads yet.
