I have been calling around , Hogue, Cabelas to try to confirm if the
Hogue rubber finger style grip that fits the goverment 5" 1911
fits the Ruger SR1911 and SR1911 Commander models.
The frame heights for both Rugers are 5.45", My Colt Goldcup
is 5.58" . The Goldcup uses the 45000 series grip. The .13"
concerns me although i don't know where the additional .13" is distributed
on the Goldcup.

This may be a little confusing unless you have made the conversion.

I don't use the Hogue rubber finger thing grips because I find them to be too fat but all of the grips I've had for my 1911s fit my Gold Cup along with all my other full size frame Colts, Springfields, etc.. I've never seen anything anywhere about Gold Cup grip frames being sized differently than any other full size Colt 1911 or clone. I'd just order some and try them, my bet is that they'll fit just fine but if they don't you can return them.

In general a set of grips for a Government Model (5" barrel) will fit a Commander sized gun. Unless there is something unique about the frame of the Ruger.

You can often find these cheap on EBay.
