ruger sp101!

I've seen this revolver online and I think it is awesome! It fits every reqirement I have for a first handgun like being .22lr and a 4" barrel and it's a ruger! I saw this at an online auction for $175 in 98% condition. Does anyone know if these are hard to find or how much they retail for?
 
I just paid a little over $300. for mine in 99% condition.
Works fine for the missus with 38 spl +P's, got nothing bad to say about it. Very good revolver. :)
 
I own several ruger's. I would expect it to be of excellent quality, durable, and would give you year's of good service.

I have two Security Six (357) which were the predecesor to the GP101. Durable, reliable...good choice for a first gun! :)
 
The .22's are a little harder to find because most of whats on the market are .38 and 357's.I happen to find a 4" in .32 magnum which my son loves to shoot.Ive got 2 SP's the .32 and a .357 love them both.175.00 is kinda low it must have a reserve or something.
 
That online auction SP-101 will probably bring far more than that when the auction closes.
IMO for a .22lr revolver an adjustable sight is an almost needed feature.
