Hey All,
my new Gemini Customs SP101 is in the mail!
Marc at Gemini sent me this pic of my completed project.....complete with new Cocobolo boot grips!

Nice...

Jealous much!
:D

Really, that's a sweet looking Rooney gun. It looks like you didn't opt for the Hybra-Port. I'd like to buy a new in box 6" barrel GP & get the Gemini Customs treatment. That's slick but not cheap, ;).

Really nice looking SP101

If you don't mind, what all did you have done to it and what was the cost of the work?

i'd like to feel a trigger on a GC. That would determine if i sent it in...

They comment about the new Ruger MIM parts? How do they work? keep em? replace em?

As soon as I read the title I knew that I was gonna regret clicking on this thread. I also knew that I wouldn't be able to resist.

Nice gun! Gonna guess at the answer to Alex's first question just for fun: Front sight, blasted finish, looks like the trigger was polished into a mirror too. And the grips as mentioned!

It looks like the frame is rounded a bit too, namely the top corners of the top strap. Unless it's a trick of the lighting?

Either way, very sexy piece. I wish I had the cash to send mine in!

Beautiful!!!
When you get it in hand could you post a photo of the front sight?

I would trust my life on that gun. Five rounds of +p or .357 ought to get the job done...and what a beautiful delivery tool!

I have a SP 101 chomping at the bit wanting to go to GEMINI CUSTOMS. How long did it take to get the work done ?

"How long did it take to get the work done ? "

Believe it or not.....one week!!
I hit them at the perfect time, when they were tooled up for a run of Ruger SP101's....

I think they (he, actually: Marc Morganti) gears up and does similar firearms all in a "batch".

I evidently caught them at the perfect time for quick turn-around.....and that includes that custom boot grip that you see. They do not stock grips, but just the wood blanks, and craft them to fit your actual weapon!!

If you dont mind me asking, with all the work you had done how much did it cost?

Damn sexy sp101. Makes me want a 3rd!

I'm not a Ruger guy - but that is one I would be proud to own. Very Nice.

It doesn't matter about the cost. It is one you will keep forever!

That is really nice looking. I have a SP101 3 inch, and I might consider sending it to Gemini at some point. They're great guns, but Gemini definitely makes some nice improvements.
