Ruger SP101 Custom job?

Somewhere on this board, someone posted a gunsmith that did custom jobs for Ruger Sp101's.

I would search for it, but I actually wanted to ask another question besides getting that info; does the same person or anybody else do custom jobs for the SP101's bigger cousin; the Ruger GP100?

Try All Custom Firearms in Sierra Vista, AZ. At one time they had a nice SP101 package that included porting,an action job and some other minor work, all for around $260. I've never personally had anything done by them but I've heard good things. They should still have a web site which you could look up for more info.

Custom Ruger Jobs

There are a number of people who work on them. Depends what you want do. IF it is welding and recontouring and such
try Jim Stroh at:

http://www.alphaprecisioninc.com/

He created a custom wide trigger for my
Python that looked factory or better.

Another individual that can do metal work and has done outstanding action jobs on my Rugers (GP and Redhawk) is TJ's Custom Gun in CA. See:

http://www.tjscustomgunworks.com/

Teddy Jacobson www.actionsbyt.com does action work and has done an SP101 for me. He does not do welding or big machine shop jobs.

Others who work on Rugers are:

Cylinder & Slide

http://www.cylinder-slide.com/

Dave Clements

http://www.clementscustomguns.com/

Magnaport

http://www.magnaport.com/

and Quality Pistol

http://www.qpr-inc.com/qualite.htm

Weigand, I think, is not now currently accepting new jobs but may in the future.

By the way. All Custom Firearms website is:

http://www.allcustomfirearms.com/

A while back the gunsmith that was written up in Combat Handguns by Mike Detty (he did an SP101 and S&W 640 for seperate articles) there left and there is a different 'smith there now.
