Ruger Single Six Price Check

I saw a used Ruger Single Six, 22wmr, 6 1/2 in Barrel, stainless steel today for $175.00 plus tax. It did not have an extra cylinder for 22 LR. The exterior looked very good and it was tight. By the sn. 260-60xxx i have determined it is more than 10 years old. I'm in North Texas is this a good price? New ones run around $450.

Not sure what a typical one will run gap wise on the cylinder but if you have a friendly dealer with a NEW single six bring a gap gauge and test it out.

If it just comes with the Magnum cylinder you can probably pick up a new cylinder in .22LR.

Seems like a good price to me, definately something I'd look into, maybe have one of your buddies check it out? I'm sure someone else will post something on here sooner or later.

Seem's like a good price for the stainless. I have a Single Six that I paid the same amount for, but mine is not S.S. it's Blued with the 91/2 inch barrel.
I am in Michigan and the some of the pawn shops here would have it priced higher that $175.
The only minus about the gun is the fixed sights. The blade on the end is huge.
You won't win any taget matches with it, but for rodent control and bouncing cans around it's a fun gun.
