Well I finally got to go and shoot my 32 Single Six birdshead with a Bisley hammer installed. I had loaded up some 32L DEWC and man I must say I am impressed, no recoil and it shot smooth as silk. I think I will pick up some 32 H&R brass and get some of these loaded up and see how well it does wth these. I just could not stop grinning at the lack of recoil and the perfect circles it was cutting in the paper, I was using some Unique powder and was running them about 675FPS. I think I have found a keeper for sure. Thanks everyone for you imput and info shared about this gun and caliber.

I own one of the earlier .32 H&R single sixes with adjustable sights and absolutely love it. mine has a 6.5" bbl. and is a favorite trail/camp gun.
ENJOY!

I have a first year SSM (s/n is in the 400 range)and I can say that in the Ruger you can start at book max 32 H&R loads and work up from there if you want. SAAMI spec is ~20k psi for the round; the Ruger will safely do 35k. You can get some kick when you load a 115 gr. cast up to and over 1100fps.

You can literally load from 32 S&W fart rounds to 9mm levels of power in that little platform. They can be a reloaders dream: lots of tinkering...easy on powder. They can also be a source of frustration....bullets can be an issue at times like this...cast is your friend. Plated isn't often available. Enjoy the new toy! :D

Great Gun/Caliber combination.

Mine gets mighty close to 1300 fps using Lil'Gun (Hodgdon data). Accurate too.

Lipsey's will be offering a 327, SEVEN shot Ruger Single Seven too. Ruger has them listed in the Distributer exclusives on their website. I'm hoping to get the 5.5" version. Should be a mighty fun gun!

You and I, think alike. I will be getting one as soon as I see one for just under retail list price.

I missed the boat on the other Ruger 327's now you have to pay a premium to get one.
Shooting 327's out of my Taurus snubbie is fun, but it is not that fun.
:D
