The older SS convertible WMR cylinders were fluted, as well as were the LR cylinders, so saying that the WMR cylinders arent fluted doesnt always help. The WMR cylinder has always been roll marked with the 22 WMR markings.
My 1975 vintage single Six has no identifying marks on the WMR cylinder. Even the hand inscribed last three digits of the serial number that are on the front of the cylinder are the same. The only way to tell for sure is to try a WMR in each cylinder and see if it fits.
Since they're both fluted, the quickest way to tell the cylinders apart on my '72 Convertible has always been to look for the firing pin groove on the LR cylinder. Flatgate posted a pic of the difference near the end of the linked thread.
