Ruger Security Six

Thanks for the video duelist. I also have a similar story buying my first security six blued around '74 and foolishly selling in '76. Still regret it.
I found another in stainless a cpl months ago and had to have it. I have lots of semi autos, but have a attraction to the wheel guns. I'm now back up to 6 of them.

I had a four-inch Security Six years ago, and traded it for something I thought I wanted more. Can't even remember now what it was. If I'm not an idiot I'll do till one gets here. Now I live on Social Security and can't buy guns anymore! :(

I am definitely a Ruger revolver fan! My first handgun was and is a 4" round-butt Service-Six in .357 that I bought from my then boss, and it's still one of my favorites. In the ensuing 30 years I've acquired a 5.5" .44 Redhawk, a snub .357 SP101, a 2.75" Service-Six, and a 6" blued GP100 that shoots rings around my buddy's Python.

And a 4" .22 SP101 is on my shortlist.

duelist1954-- Congrats on the new Six.
IMHO the Six series from Ruger are the best DA revolver old Bill ever made.
I agree... plus, I don't think they would have sold over 1.5 million in 15 years if they had any known weaknesses.
BTW... nice brace of Sixes you got there. Simply stunning!

Garycw-- Thanks for the pic of that 6" stainless. You don't see many of those around anymore.
I'm glad you were able to find another. I've made a couple sales/trades I regret also. We all live and learn. :)

Congrads on the security six.

My first hand gun was a security six with a 4" barrel it was a good gun shot nice groups for a 4" pistol.

Picked up a sock drawer puppy...

that is a GREAT sidearm. Used it for hunting and backpacking.

May consider picking up second one in either 2" or 6".
