Ruger Scout Rifle Magazine Issues

My dad and I recently purchased a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. We took it out to the range and immediately had trouble with the magazine, it was having trouble feeding the next round. We even went so far as to buy a new magazine because that's where the issue was. There just doesn't seem to be enough tension on the spring to properly feed the next round. It had no problem extracting the spent cartridge, but it wouldn't chamber the next round without me having to push up on the bottom of the magazine. We had this problem with BOTH magazines, and these aren't cheap after market mags. They're proprietary, built by Accuracy International. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

As reported earlier, not me. Most people report that there is so much tension on the mags that it is hard to load them. Perhaps your rifle doesn't allow you to seat the mags as deaply as is needed.

I would give Ruger a call.

Give these people a shot at it also.
