Ruger scout optics issue

I have a river scout rifle and a leatherwood 2-7x32 scout scope made just for the river. Here lies the problem. I would like to use larue tactical quick detach rings. The only 1 inch rings listed are 1.44 or 1.5 inches above the rail. This is the rail to the center of the rings. How would this height compare to regular low, med, and high? Has anyone used larue rings on a scout setup?

I also see they have a 2 piece set of rings but I would need ring reducers since they only sell 30mm. These are .875 above the rail. Any ideas?

good stuff

My scout uses Leupold quick detach rings w/ levers.

Can't help w/ Larue's. Their a good outfit in my limited experience w/ them..

Call or email and ask'em!

On My M1A Scout Squad, I ended up using Millet low rings with a Burris 2X handgun scope to good effect.

( I borrowed them from my Ruger Mk III Hunter. )

Going with the Scout concept, you want to have the scope slammed down as low as you can get it.

Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

On the strength of what I experienced with my .22 pistol's scope and mounts, I intend to get some low Millet rings in matte black to hold a Burris 2-7 Scout scope for the M1A.
